Verdict
The adidas Adizero Adios Pro 4 is a specialist race-day shoe for runners chasing fast road-racing performances, particularly from 10 km to the marathon. It combines a very light build with a highly cushioned, responsive platform and a deliberately propulsive geometry. It is an exciting option for experienced racers, but a relatively expensive and specialised choice for someone who mainly wants an easy-run workhorse.
Ride and construction
A double layer of adidas Lightstrike Pro foam supplies the soft, energetic cushioning. Carbon-infused ENERGYRODS 2.0 add stiffness and support the forward rolling action, while a repositioned rocker makes the heel-to-toe transition feel eager at quicker paces. This is a rod structure rather than a conventional full-width carbon plate. An airy textile upper provides race-oriented lockdown, while Lighttraxion rubber and Continental rubber in key zones are designed to provide grip without excessive outsole weight.
Adidas Singapore specifies approximately 200 g for the men's UK 8.5 reference size and a 6 mm drop, with 39 mm at the heel and 33 mm at the forefoot for the referenced model. Women's sizing, colours and individual product codes are variations within this single model, not separate ARC products.
Best for and limitations
The Pro 4 is best suited to faster long workouts, tune-up races and goal races where low mass, spring and turnover matter. Runners accustomed to firmer, broader daily trainers should expect a different feel. Independent RunRepeat testing praises its cushioning and racing efficiency but finds the toe box comparatively narrow and the rear platform less stable for heel strikers. Try the shoe with race socks if possible, and check return policies before ordering internationally. The snug racing fit is a particular concern for wide feet.
No supershoe is guaranteed to improve an individual runner's time. Cushioning, fit and grip also depend on surface, weather, foot shape and technique. Keep a durable daily trainer for most relaxed mileage and check the wear of the outsole and upper after high-intensity racing blocks. This shoe is made for roads, not technical trails.
Price guide and buying
US$250 is the regular price displayed by adidas US for the Adizero Adios Pro 4 (checked 12 October 2026); adidas Singapore lists a regular S$339. These are different local-market prices, not a currency conversion or a promise of today's final checkout price. The Adidas Indoleads search appears six times for SG, MY, TH, VN, ID and PH as requested, all intentionally using the same Singapore destination. Shipping eligibility, tracking and actual country availability were not independently verified.
