A dedicated trail-shoe choice
HOKA's official Thailand Speedgoat 6 page identifies a CMEVA midsole, engineered-mesh upper and Vibram Megagrip outsole with 5 mm lugs. It positions the model for technical trail running. The listing gives approximate weights of 278 g for men and 232 g for women; these are reference figures, not universal weights for every size.
This adds a specialist trail shoe to the directory alongside road trainers and road-to-trail options. It should be chosen for the runner's terrain and fit rather than the popularity of the brand alone.
Where to compare it
Consider the Speedgoat 6 when your routes contain substantial dirt and uneven trail and you want to compare a cushioned shoe with a more trail-focused outsole. Manufacturer traction claims do not guarantee grip on polished wet stone, moss, roots or every type of mud.
For tropical routes, assess foothold security as well as cushioning. At a fitting, check heel hold, space for the toes and the sensation of the foot moving sideways. Try a safe slope or step if available. A comfortable standing fit does not establish downhill comfort.
Version and fit checks
The directory entry covers the standard Speedgoat 6 model. Men's, women's and wide-fit stock should be identified clearly by the retailer. Do not assume that a waterproof or other materially different construction has identical features.
Use the seller's size chart and confirm whether a listing uses US men's, US women's, UK or centimetre measurements. Leave the final sizing choice to an actual fitting and the return policy.
Buying in Asia
The official Thailand black/black listing was marked sold out when researched. It is retained as an exact-model reference, not a promise of stock. The Indonesia button is an affiliate-linked Shopee search; the Thai link is direct and is not presented as tracked.
Check model generation, width, colour, authenticity and total checkout cost before ordering. Avoid substituting another Speedgoat generation based on a similar thumbnail.
