Trails through Danau Tekala combine natural greenery with challenging footing and climbing, making sensible pacing, hydration and appropriate trail footwear important.
2026 ultra results and finishers
German ultrarunning statistics organisation DUV records 197 finishers in the 50K (148 men, 49 women) and 77 finishers in the 75K (64 men, 13 women). These totals cover those specific distances only; they do not represent all starters or an all-distance event attendance figure.
| Distance | Result | Recorded time |
|---|---|---|
| 50K men's winner | Mohamad Amierul Amin Shamsul Kamal | 5:42:06 |
| 50K women's winner | Siew-Wei Yong | 8:06:23 |
| 75K overall / men's winner | Amir Saipol Bahri | 10:49:55 |
Names sometimes appear with reversed ordering in international result databases. For the 75K overall winner, DUV indexes the name as 'Saipol Bahri, Amir'. Other placings in the 50K included Yih-Huan Sua (5:49:49) and Muhammad Hamizan Ismail (6:53:55), as recorded by DUV. Before reusing these rankings as official race awards, consult the organiser's timing pages for category versus overall and gun versus net timing.
What makes Batangsi distinctive?
The organiser describes a community-centred event involving runners, volunteers and nearby villagers, with trails crossing lush forest and riverside terrain. The event page rates its difficulty as medium and describes typical temperatures of approximately 28–33°C. Those figures are organiser guidance, not independently recorded weather conditions for every runner during the 2026 weekend.
