Carry the bib on a belt
Nathan's Nutrition Race Number Belt adds a race-day accessory alongside storage belts and hydration vests. The Japanese brand page identifies NS10080, with bib holders, gel loops and reflective detailing. It lists a waist range of 66–112cm, weight of 40g, and nylon/polyester construction.
The intended role is straightforward: attach a race number without pinning it directly to your clothing, with provision for carrying gel packets. It is a minimal race belt, not a zipped phone-storage belt or a hydration system.
Who should consider it?
Consider it if you prefer moving the bib between layers or want to avoid pin holes in a favourite race top. It can also suit a runner who wants a few gels accessible around the waist. If your existing storage belt already holds the bib and fuel comfortably, compare the functions before adding another belt.
Check your event's rules first. Organisers may specify where the bib must be worn and how fully visible it must remain. A race belt does not remove those requirements. Test the bib placement with your actual top, jacket and any hydration vest.
Fit and gel retention
The Japanese waist range is a useful starting point, but test the loaded belt while jogging. Adjust it so the bib stays where the organiser requires it and the buckle does not rub against your clothing or skin.
Try the exact gel packets you will use. Packet shapes vary, and a loop that works for one brand may not retain another in the same way. Check for movement, practise removing a gel and assess whether the remaining packets stay secure. Do this before race day rather than assuming all gels fit equally well.
Version and buying checks
This entry follows the Japanese NS10080 model. Nathan's current US Nutrition Waist Belt description specifies three gel loops and three bib attachments, but regional packaging and revisions should be checked rather than assumed identical.
The direct Japanese purchase link is the USB Online Rakuten listing linked by Nathan Japan. It is not represented as affiliate-tracked, and current stock must be checked there. The Indonesia button is an affiliate-linked Shopee search, not a vetted individual seller offer. Confirm model code, item count, waist range and delivered accessories.
