The ASICS HYPER MD 8 is a middle-distance track racing spike intended for athletes competing and training on suitable synthetic tracks. It combines an open mesh upper for ventilation with thin no-sew reinforcements intended to support the foot without excessive bulk. An EVA midsole and sockliner provide a measure of cushioning underfoot, while the pin-spike outsole is designed for track traction.
This is specialist racing footwear, not a daily road trainer. The spiked configuration can be unsuitable for pavement, casual walking or facilities that restrict particular spike lengths.
